Grand Banquet of Kings

Grand Banquet of Kings - The Exhibition of Southwest Bronzes was jointly hosted by Guizhou museum and more than dozen museums from Southwest Alliance of Museums in Guizhou museum from January 23, 2019 to May 4, 2019, this exhibition displayed 217 pieces of most part bronze relics in the period of Shang, Zhou, Qin and Han Dynasties and the territory of Southwest China, there were 80 pieces of "Level I" relics, time span was more than 1800 years. This exhibition used double evidences of literature and cultural relics in the exhibition. Under the magnificent historical background of “Qin Kingdom annexed Ba and Shu” and “Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty developed Southwest Yi” in southwestern region at the early age, the exhibition comprehensively displayed life utensils which were unearthed ritual, musical and dietary bronzes. Meanwhile, It highlighted the unique charm of southwest bronze civilization and showed the historical process of southwest region's integration into the whole China.
